Pittsburgh's new multi-purpose arena is scheduled to open for the 2010-11 NHL season. The new home of the Pittsburgh Penguins will seat up to 19,000 and also host a wide range of other entertainment events. The arena will attempt to be the first sporting facility in the United States to achieve LEED gold-certification.
