Mr. Stephen Strnisha offers 20 years of leadership experience in bond rating analysis, investment banking, finance and economic development leadership on behalf of both local government and the non-profit sector. He joined PMC in May, 2009, where he continues to serve long standing clients as well as new ones. In 2005, Strnisha founded Strnisha Development Advisors, providing assistance in obtaining public/private financing for real estate development. assisting clients with identifying financing and other strategies necessary to facilitate project objectives. His clients included Developers Diversified Realty, University Circle Inc., The Coral Company, The Detroit Investment Fund and various government entities. Most recently he has secured financing for the Flats East Bank Redevelopment in downtown Cleveland and the University Lofts project as part of the College Town development adjacent to Cleveland State University. Prior to launching SDA, Strnisha served as Greater Cleveland Partnership’s Chief Finance and Economic Development Officer, from its creation through the 2004 merger of Cleveland Tomorrow, Greater Cleveland Growth Association and the Greater Cleveland Roundtable. Strnisha led the economic development activities and financial integration of the three organizations and its combined $27 million annual budget. Before the 2004 merger, Strnisha was deputy director of Cleveland Tomorrow, a membership organization of CEOs of the 50 largest Northeast Ohio corporations focused on regional economic development initiatives. Stnisha staffed the business sector’s role in building the Cleveland Browns stadium, its sponsorship of Cleveland Civic Vision and Beyond - a new downtown planning process, and Connecting Cleveland, a plan to redevelop Cleveland’s lakefront. Additionally, he managed Cleveland Tomorrow’s various real estate development funds which raised $67 million in capital from private investors. In 2003, Cleveland Tomorrow also received a $15 million New Markets Tax Credit allocation from the U.S. Department of Treasury in the first round of awards for that program. Strnisha also served as Director of Finance for the City of Cleveland under Mayor Michael White before being appointed Executive Assistant for Development. During his tenure with the City (1991-1995), he led the city’s financing efforts, directing the sale of over $600 million in city debt and managing the city’s financial participation in the development of the Gateway Sports complex (which includes Jacobs Field and Gund Arena) and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. He also assisted in the development of both downtown and neighborhood housing and retail projects of scale and coordinated the City’s successful application in the initial round of Empowerment Zone designations by the Federal Government. Strnisha managed a start-up public finance division for Society Bank (now Key Bank) and served as senior analyst for public finance at Moody’s. Strnisha began his professional career as a senior analyst for Fiscal Planning Services Inc. | |
