PMC served as owner’s representative for a new 330-key convention center hotel connected via bridge to the Iowa Event Center (IEC) and Wells Fargo Arena. The hotel is a public-private-partnership (P3) whereby The Weitz Company served as the developer and contractor providing financing to deliver the project to the IEC Hotel Corporation, a not-for-profit. Upon completion, permanent financing was placed with a leaseback agreement.

The eight-story building reflects the high-tech, progressive growth occurring in the city of Des Moines. The hotel has spectacular views of the city and state capital complex. The project integrates into the citywide pedestrian bridge network.

The Hilton Des Moines received the 2017 New Build of the Year Award for Hilton Hotels &amp; Resorts from Hilton Corporate, Hotel of the Year by&nbsp;Corporate Travel Awards 2019&nbsp;and 2019&nbsp;Building Design + Construction&nbsp;Bronze Building Team Award.
