Project Management Consultants LLC (PMC), a subsidiary of Thompson Hine LLP, built upon its successful track record of securing funding for brownfield remediation projects in Ohio by obtaining brownfield remediation grant awards totaling over $21.5 million from the Ohio Department of Development for 10 projects in the state. PMC supported projects in Cuyahoga, Franklin and Hamilton Counties.
In the most recent funding round (Round 3), 50% of Cuyahoga County projects funded belonged to PMC clients, and PMC clients received nearly two-thirds of the proceeds awarded in the county. Statewide, PMC estimates that approximately one-third of funding was awarded to its clients.
“The industrial legacy of many Ohio cities presents significant challenges to urban redevelopment projects,” said Ryan Sommers, Managing Director of Financial Services at PMC. “The only way many projects can close their financing gaps and move forward with redevelopment to catalyze job creation, population growth and new tax revenues for their local communities is by obtaining grants and loans.”
