As Development Finance Manager, Alex provides strategic insights and innovative solutions that continue to drive success for clients across diverse industries. Over his first five years at PMC, Alex honed his technical skills by developing new and building on existing financial modeling to enhance the quality and readability of PMC’s products, primarily focusing on economic impact analyses for public partners and integrating tax-related incentives into clients’ financial models.

Alex leverages his CPA certification and accounting knowledge, as well as his resources and relationships at Thompson Hine, to gain a comprehensive understanding of the evolving legal and regulatory frameworks in communities across and beyond Ohio. This allows him to apply financial projections that fit within any given framework’s parameters and ensure compliance at every stage of the development process.

Alex also leads PMC’s Ohio Opportunity Zone tax credit program service. Since its inception, Alex has played a crucial role in helping PMC clients submit over 58 successful applications totaling over $16.1 million in tax credits. He works with clients at all steps of the process to provide seamless navigation of the program’s intricacies, including entity formation, investment strategy, application intake and completion. Following an award, Alex assists in facilitating the transfer and/or sale of these credits for clients that do not need to claim them against their Ohio taxable income.

Additionally, Alex has helped clients secure Ohio Historic Preservation Tax Credits and prepared the real estate tax impact analyses for Transformational Mixed-Use Development projects, further demonstrating his comprehensive understanding of various tax credit programs and his ability to navigate complex regulatory frameworks.

In addition to his work with public financing and incentives, Alex provides extensive financial support to developer clients, assisting with finance management, cost/sales analyses, construction loan financing and draws, tax preparation, cash flow projections, and more.
